8. What aspect of Sifo-Dyas' character grabs you the most?
he's a hopecore character
I can't imagine how much will and pure faith one must have to go this far. he faces the awful nature of his visions as a teen, Protobranch is a straight up apocalypse that he carries with him for the rest of his life and he still chooses to act upon them, to care enough to again and again do everything he can to make things better
he has so many reasons to give up and yet he refuses to
and his last words? they perfectly describe it
"And the truth is, we won't make it out of this alive." He looked exhausted and frightened, but determined. "If that's the case, so be it. But there are things that mustn't be lost. This is what it's come to -and I want...I want everyone to understand that I've done my best. 9. What does your perfect Happily Ever After look like for Sifo-Dyas?
like they just die somewhere. maybe palpatine attempts to kill damask a bit early and they both just DIE. they achieve the maximum level of being dead
sifo's visions are still powerful but there is no galactic war that kills all the jedi to haunt him. he gets to be really really old in a peaceful temple among his friends and family and sees the children he brought to the order become knights and masters or leave to order to find their way!

35. Do you have any controversial opinions about Sifo-Dyas?
so I have a habit of going through every ao3 fic that mentions sifo-dyas in the tags because I'm curious about how other people write him. which of course leads to me finding opinions I disagree with, wow shocking! I would say the most controversial one is sifo's words NOT being ignored and denied by the council
the entire reason WHY he's member of the council is because they want him there, they value his opinion and his visions. in the Living Force mace mentions that the council's entire ability to see the future has been compromised since sifo left
the bits of "evil council doesn't want to even hear about the visions and would harm sifo if they find out" come from dooku "THE unreliable narrator" serenno and lene "hey kid don't tell your master" kostana
visions in fact cannot be 110% trusted and at the same time it's foolish to ignore them. that's why managing them is a balance just like everything else in jedi's life
