These days, lots of public libraries have a "library of things" collection where you can check out kitchen appliances or yard tools or toys, and, as a children's library assistant, the most popular library of things item that I handle regularly is a plastic scepter thingy called like "unicorn princess magic wand". And whenever I check it out I make a big show of looking at the little kid and being like "do you solemnly swear to use your unicorn princess magic powers only for good and never for evil?"
And pretty much without fail, the little kid will get the world's most mischievous grin and go "I'm gonna use it for EVIL!!!"
star wars fuckery to english glossary: the reader’s digest version
the star wars universe has no official name but in fandom you’ll see it shortened to GFFA for “galaxy far, far away”
glass - transparisteel
metal used in construction - durasteel
very strong space-plastic (used in stormtrooper armor) - duraplast
tablet computer (analogous to a PADD in trek) - datapad
rather than paper, handwriting is usually done with a stylus on flimsiplast (flimsi/flimsy for short)
holos are 3-d videos or videomessages, recorded and played on a holoprojector (these are often seen in small formats, palm-sized - analogous to like. a GoPro.)
we don’t drive cars, we drive landspeeders or speeder bikes
we don’t shoot guns, we shoot blasters
if you didn’t bring a knife to a gun fight, you perhaps brought a vibroblade instead - an edged weapon that, you guessed it, vibrates. little ones could be called vibroshivs or vibroknives. we actually got to see polearm versions of these in The Mandalorian! it was very exciting.
robots in GFFA are, of course, droids. astromech droids (astromechs) are the like. iphones of the droid world - ubiquitous, multipurpose, most with a similar aesthetic. R2-D2 and BB-8 are both astromech droids. human-shaped droids like C-3P0 are protocol droids.
got a papercut? a nasty flesh wound? a missing chunk of your torso, perhaps? slap a bacta-patch on it or take a dip in a bacta tank for a soothing treatment with this all-purpose miracle healing goo. this is what diapered Luke is bobbing around in during the early part of Empire Strikes Back.

• what’s the most vile language you can cuss in?? why, in Huttese of course (which is the second most prevalent language in the galaxy after Basic. It’s the lingua franca for the Outer Rim Territories which is basically space wild west), try saying Fierfek five times (it means curse you)
• if you’re a droid or mechanic another cuss word would be “switch-off”
• if ur Mandalorian, ass/asses would be shebs, ‘dank farrik’ which is common for mercs to say = damn, fuck
• people working for the empire = colloquially called ‘imps’
• the mafia = pykes and the hutts
• ‘GFFA’? =The Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, also known as the Federal Galactic Republic (also Galaxy Far Far Away lol)
Glass does actually exist in Star Wars. Transparisteel is just used in stuff that needs extra durability like starfighters. Most of Star Wars takes place in said wars so that's why transparisteel is more prevalent.

We'd love to see settings and seasons and seasonal feasts/events from all over the world that take place in October if bingoers are so inclined.
Spooky, which could be Halloween themed or more general horror, thriller, monster, ghost, horror, etc. themed. These are scary fills, and happy endings are not required. Angst, gore, and MCD are allowed but must be tagged in the fic and on tumblr.
Spoopy, by which we mean spooky but with a silly, cozy, or otherwise basically lighthearted tone. We would expect a happy ending to a spoopy fill.
The format will be the same: a 3 x 3 card, with cards generated after participants fill out a form we'll put up at a later date.
The rules will be the same, as are the requirements about tagging and warnings for flashing, etc.. Since horror and seriously scary offerings with unhappy endings are definitely allowed, the requirements about tagging especially apply.
