And then, the very last time we heard Dooku onscreen talking about Sifo-Dyas in TCW The Lost One, he is still trying to tell people that he and Sifo-Dyas were friends, that Sifo-Dyas stood by him and vouched for him, even when this is an objectively insane thing to say given the fact that he's been caught in the act of covering up Sifo-Dyas's murder.

"Sifo-Dyas understood. He saw the future. That is why he helped me."

That line always makes me crazy, and I think that's why. Because it's so... pointless? The Clone Army has long ago been ordered, sabotaged, and put in place. Obi-Wan has already refused to join him, as he points out in the first part of the above quote. Sifo-Dyas is fucking ten years dead. Dooku has nothing to gain by saying it, and if it's a deliberate lie, it's a deeply pathetic one.
