Randomness and Fandomness

IF YOU CAN’T GET A JOB, IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT!!!!! THE SYSTEM IS DEEPLY BROKEN!!!!!!!!

The hiring process has never been great, but in the past couple of years it’s hit rock bottom. Ghost jobs probably outnumber real jobs on job sites. Recruiters and HR use AI which throws out 90% of resumes before a real human being sees them. And most companies are hellbent on holding out for a unicorn candidate- meaning someone who already knows how to do the EXACT role without any training while also accepting entry level wages- instead of investing in new people.

1: that man plays so much Minecraft that he found a god in his computer. That is some true bottom of the barrel nerd shit

2: im convinced that if Avery got to the world first the story would be the same just role swapped. Like part 1 yeah we didn’t know much about him but come on yall just because he wasn’t focused on the disappearing mountain formula doesn’t mean he isn’t smart and obviously he can deal with serious situations we know that

3: bro was having fun with it. Like nobody says that shit the dialogue with der and the king at the end was just him bullying the bastard because a little trolling won’t ruin the plan

I say this as a person who really likes both of them tho. But yeah let him be silly on occasion. As a treat

I do think Der could benefit from being blatantly a nerd outside of Minecraft heh, give Avery some spotlight because if Der hasn't seen the color of grass in half a year that deefinitely means Avery is more well adjusted than he is when it comes to. Kjnd of everything else. Its a streetsmarts/booksmarts idea I'm spinning around in my brain ykyk

One thing that consistently feels very jarring to me is how these cultures that I think mostly have tile and cement floors go about floor cleaning. Every time they dump a bucket of soapy water across the floor and start scrubbing away, part of my mind goes OMG!, because you really cannot be doing that in the stick -built wooden houses I've grown up with and lived around.

Hell, we had to replace the vinyl flooring in the back entrance of the old house because it had all come up just from repeated exposure to wet boots and frozen chicken waterers thawing. It was just plywood subfloor for a while. In this house, there's a bit in front of the fridge where a seam is slightly lifted up from the old fridge leaking as it died. These are both relatively cheap floors, but most modern American houses just aren't designed to be slopping water around.
