brainstorming with friends over how ill end the story with all the goslings and what each of them will get as a lasting 'reward' for undergoing the Trials of being /tped into 1978 and not killing anyone.

like, they are all gonna GO HOME. i know that much. and i know the order they go home in, so i know grace will go home last. so im like, why not give him watermelon seeds or something. root vegetables. a single potato to propagate. something that he could never feasibly have, but would be a delight to have for the rest of his lifetime on erid, as a nice little reminder of the fuckin wacky inexplicable adventure he went on.

lars is gonna have a more metaphysical reward in the sense that he gets an emotional reward -- via bumping up against more emotionally available [or tough-love] people, he gets better at standing up for his own needs ['dont touch me please', for instance] and will feel a bit more comfortable with himself, as he was FORCED out of his little town into a big city and had to sink or swim. he swam, and now he can take those lessons home with him.

colt is gonna take endless videos and photos, hence why i let him have his phone. he gets to, for a time, have five brothers and a niece he's never had, gets to shoot the shit with a fellow stunt driver, and i am CONSIDERING another boon that i will not share for sake of spoilers.

ken and driver both have storylines that i dont wanna spoil, which WOULD be spoiled via their respective endings, just know ive got something nice planned for them both to go back to.

holland, meanwhile, is going on the same kind of trip lars is - emotional boon. itll be good for his sobriety, in a weird way - despite the ADDED stress, having a billion people in your house all the time, with at least three of them always being between you and the nearest stash of booze, makes it harder to get to them. he wont QUIT, but it'll definitely make him cut back.

this goes for holly as well -- im planning a better bond. even for a short time, having a stable adult in their lives [or adults plural] will help holly during a formative time, and holland can see behaviour he should emulate when trying to be a better parent.

anyway. this is rambling. i also am planning on a certain someone cajoling everyone into taking group photos so everyone can have a keepsake. yeehaw
