idk if anyone gives a Single fuck but i’m a butterflies enjoyer and i’m fairly positive this is a female plain tiger/ african monarch butterfly (danaus chrysippus) :]
i was originally thinking a male monarch (thinner veins that could be blown out from the black/white contrast, black hindwing spots that could’ve remained) and from the looks of it sometimes monarch butterflies have bigger White Spots on their forewings? but not usually. but they also have a black band at the bottoms of their forewings, and they also have black bodies, both of which i very much think would have come through, but in the gifs there is no separation between the fore and hindwings and the body is nearly completely missing bc of the contrast
then i thought a female common diadem, which maybe ! but the sort of lace-y pattern on the edges of the wings looked like they wouldn’t be so stark/mostly black in this contrast, and again, the body is dark (male common diadem butterflies look Entirely different from females so it is not even a consideration) the black spots on the topside of the female's hindwings looks to be too far up for the more relaxed position of the butterfly in the gif, I think if it were a common diadem those spots would be hidden in the gif butterfly’s pose. they also have prominent labial palps that look to be absent from the gif butterfly
plain tigers look rather similar to the female common diadem, plain tigers have the least amount of sexual dimorphism among these butterflies listed previously, they look nearly identical but ! males have an additional black spot on the hindwing (similar placement of a male monarch, they’re scent glands) which the one in the gif looks to be missing ! they also ! have orange abdomens that I would say pretty well matches their wings and could easily be blown out in the black/white contrast !
it also has the much more prominent black Scalloping on the bottom of the hindwings, matching the gif butterfly :] the monarch and common diadem’s are much more flat

i like flowers so i have headcanons for golden flowers as they pertain to the bouquet’s light world Species if you would like to hear it. now to start I’m under the impression they’re still golden flowers just other colored varieties
-so golden is the original and most common color and what the species is named for ofc, other colors originated from natural mutation (like yellow flowers (just a lighter gold really)), breeding for other colors (like cyan which i will get to in a minute), or things like the ph of their soil (green flowers could come from nitrogen-rich soil?)
-golden flowers naturally have five petals and dark disc florets, while six petals and lighter disc florets was a natural mutation and is pretty standard to the other colored varieties (based on the wild-grown golden flowers in undertale (and flowey’s appearance) and asgore’s Specially Grown flowers for the bouquet⤵️)
-blue is like the least common color in nature so very few real life flowers are blue, so find it funny golden flowers just have Two blue varieties, and i think it’d also be funny there has Yet to be a red golden flower from anything other than dyeing. like red just doesn’t exist in their genetic code. people have tried to breed for red and that’s where the cyan variety came from (based on aqua having red accents in her design). (this is also based on how butterflies just Aren’t pink. they just don’t have the dna for it ! some species have like Spots of magenta but that’s about it)
