ADHD tips from my friends with ADHD:
âI eat one chocolate chip for every page I read.â
âI can only study by playing the gravity game on the Quizlet website. I need to beat my friendâs high score.â
âEvery ten minutes I get up, put on one song by Taylor Swift, and wiggle around until I feel better.â
âInstead of checkboxes, I draw little flowers next to each task, and after I finished the task, I color in the flower in a fun color.â
Okay but I want to point out one small thing you might not have noticed: the first half is all framed as instructions, whereas the second half is all âwell this is what I do because it works for meâ
It just, I want to appreciate that because it acknowledges that everyone needs slightly different tools and tactics for their own unique brain. itâs like, âyou could try what I do but it doesnât have to be your solution.â
