They've had the climactic showdown. The primary and secondary antagonists have been defeated (even though they're off-screen) because they don't have the proof (does the drive count as a MacGuffin? He can't remember). There's been a big damn kiss with goddamn explosions in the background, and he might have even gotten the girl. Now the question is does the girl got him, because this is gonna be a bitch of an adrenaline crash and the ground is coming up awfully fast. --- When the adrenaline finally runs out, when Colt can finally stop moving, all the physical and mental bruising make themselves known. That means going to the hospital (uh oh), pain medication (is the fuzziness better or worse than the pain?), and giving his statement to the police (yikes). Also Jody wants to know (red alert!).
I HAVE FINISHED THE MOST RECENT THING
rated t for language, references to violence and attempted murder (the latter two off screen but yknow. they hover). also light innuendo. i haven't seen the extended version yet but there's a reference to a cut scene in here that's. yknow. a little suggestive (both the cut scene and what ended up in here). but all that actually happens in this story is kissing. a surprising amount of kissing, tbh. and lots of face touching and holding hands, and several "i love you"s
mostly this is angst, hurt/comfort, and lots of feelings and talking about feelings. colt has lots of feelings. sometimes he cries about them. he thinks this is bad but i think it is good and healthy. speaking of healthy there are also discussions of/painful attempts at honesty, laying down of boundaries, and discussions of why their relationship didn't work out before and how it can this time
