Can we encourage a healthy AND respectful discussion around people's opinions and understandings of Jax's character? Ofc if you're being plain transphobic fuck off, you don't get to discuss shit, but we can't keep saying media literacy is dead, if we are not inviting people into the discussion who are not happy with how the show ended and how her story ended and there are clearly a lot of them.

Ofc nobody wants to argue with somebody who flat out denies Jax's transness, there is nothing after Goose confirmed it that stands against that and imo you shouldn't argue with someone like that if they seem too ignorant, just for your own sanity's sake, but there are more nuanced and legit reasons out there that somebody who is NOT being transphobic thinks the story didn't do this character justice.

Also harassing people over their headcanons who clearly are not satisfied with the ending of the character or show as a whole, for whatever reason except hate and transphobia, is never okay, just like harassing someone over celebrating this diverse trans character in this beautiful show is never okay either.

Stop making people who are respectful and feel the need to discuss WHY they are not happy with the writing choices, feel like needing to stop posting about TADC altogether, this doesn't help ANYONE at all.

If you don't agree or get angry over someones opinion, scroll past, unfollow them or communicate your argument in a respectful manner, there are people who smelled and understood Jax's transness right away and there are people who are well-minded and didn't see the signs AT ALL until the very end (myself included, I only caught the clues while reading and watching media analysis about the episodes and I certainly didn't know what was special about the egg line at first) and both SHOULD and CAN coexist and be able to discuss freely in this damn place online.
