Like you said, crystal SAS figures are very much up there, as well as the never re-released Real Action Heroes line, but the tippy top when it comes to expensive JoJo merch are inevitably going to be one-time collaborations with luxury brands: between the fancy PSFA suits + accessories, the Seiko Part 5 watches, and the exclusive Bvlgari Part 4 bags designed by Araki himself, these are items that were already expensive to begin with and are now rare collectables going up for thousands of dollars and getting more valuable by the day.

Also special shout-out to the elusive only-100-units-released alt. Rohan Master Stars Piece which Araki loves to taunt me with

I am, of course, excluding official artwork reproductions, original art put up for auction, autographed works by Araki, etc as those can easily surpass even the most expensive piece of merch.

Quick question: why does Part 5 refer to Naples as Neapolis? Or Part 4 using S City or M prefecture, instead of Sendai or Miyagi? I was puzzled because the series is perfectly content with using the real geographic names of American places (along with other locations) so the intentional obscuring of Naples and Japan in particular was really weird.

When it comes to Part 4, omitting the name of Sendai was a deliberate choice by Araki, who wanted to avoid offending audiences by naming the real city directly and portraying it as a dangerous place, as stated in a 2007 lecture:

As for Naples/Napori being changed to Neapolis, seems to just be a localization choice (a completely unnecessary one imo but then again so many of them are) to use Neapolis in reference to Neápolis (Νεάπολις), the city's given name upon its refounding - so no deeper reason here as far as I can tell.
