The hiring process has never been great, but in the past couple of years it’s hit rock bottom. Ghost jobs probably outnumber real jobs on job sites. Recruiters and HR use AI which throws out 90% of resumes before a real human being sees them. And most companies are hellbent on holding out for a unicorn candidate- meaning someone who already knows how to do the EXACT role without any training while also accepting entry level wages- instead of investing in new people.

It’s fucking hard out there right now. You are not alone and it’s not your fault if you can’t get hired.

My glasses got stepped on and the person who did it walked away and my abusive partner won't help me get new ones even though she has a ton in savings and I get headaches and the lenses are scratched so lightsources turn into painful glare beams and I have bad light sensitivity issues from autism but I can't see very well at all without them and it makes me hurt and feel sick trying to force focus or look at blurred vision and nobody can help me and all vision is painful I should just bash the back of my head against the wall until I'm blind then I won't have to suffer anymore and maybe they'll actually approve me for disability I don't want to live anymore I should just overdose or slit my throat or walk into traffic I can't take this anymore
