i’m trying to get some more hobbies to make my life generally more interesting and you seem like an interesting person to me. do you have hobbies that you think are fun for a beginner to try out?

ok I admit I do have a lot of hobbies lol. Here's some stuff that I think is fun and cheap to try out:
cooking! get really into one thing for a while until you master it. in the past I got into breads and right now I'm on meats. I was vegetarian for like 20 years so when I started cooking meat I had nooo idea how. I got good at chicken first. currently working on learning fish. maybe start with a basic loaf of bread! or a barista-quality latte!
plants! grow seeds from foods you buy at the store or propagate from other plants in your neighborhood. you'll fail a lot at first. I've killed... so, so many plants lol. but soon you'll have a small jungle!
something physical. anything that interests you. if you're not a fitness person, you kinda need to find something before your 30s or your body starts to get weak and sore. yoga, rock climbing, skating, swimming. find your thing. I live on the water, so my favorite is to kayak. if you're not confident getting started, go for walks and practice photography or listen to a podcast to distract yourself.
got $30 spare? you can buy a tablet, download Krita to your laptop, and learn digital art. I'm kinda ass but getting better :P
you can also pick up a lot of second-hand instruments for very cheap. less than $100 usually. I play a bunch. made a living on it ;)
learn to code! everyone should know how to make a basic website. if you don't know where to start, try neocities and w3schools
start a discord server. it'll teach you to program basic bots and you can build a cool community. If you don't like discord, build community another way. a zine, maybe!
I run a youtube channel where I make edits of tv shows to songs I like :3 it's fun, but you do need a pretty good computer to do video editing. you can clip videos of your friends having fun instead of tv shows, too. like Mark from RENT. that's even more fun!
turn blogging into a genuine hobby. tumblr is fun because it's easy to reblog and shitpost/vent but you can start a writing a real old-school style blog, where you do anything you want. pick apart religious texts, compare translations of your favorite novel, discuss feminism, philosophize about life, idk. I'm not much for writing myself, but I beta-read for an author friend of mine.
is reading a hobby? I'm not sure I'd count it lol but people probably do. snag a library card and find a genre you love. I read to fall asleep and make it through 30+ books a year.
combine stuff. like if you get into cooking you can start a blog and build a website for it. if you find a sport you like, make a discord group for locals who play.
ultimately you're the best judge of what you want to do :) it's such a wonderful, wide world out there with so much to explore. one of my most enduring hobbies is tea! because I like tea! most people don't consider 'tea' a hobby but that's because they think of teabags of citrus-flavored dust instead of the 4,000 year history of it. I also want to learn to make soap soon but it's a bit of an investment for the supplies. most of the 'making things' hobbies are like that.
