First of all, I suggest adjusting your tone when what's really straightforward and easy to understand is my question, it's also relatively quite tame and mild.
And coming in like that when the question wasn't even directed at you is insane, even with your reply I still don't understand OP's perspective because you aren't OP, but thanks.
First off, I'm literally heterosexual, and secondly, my feelings regarding how I feel about misogynistic slurs and terms is quite easy to go look up on my page. Nevertheless, feminists that look at heterosexual relationships and sex critically in ways that don't dehumanize women far outnumber the 5 blackpilled women on Tumblr that have you all disgruntled.
The fact of the matter is that straight women aren't attracted to feminism because straight women aren't attracted to their liberation or what's needed to actually get there ā and no, I'm not saying this in defense of women who see male-partnered women as beneath them.
But let's be honest, men look down on male-partnered women ā any woman, actually. And yet the only reason we're having this discussions is because despite that fact, women have not felt driven away by men in the same way you're saying they feel driven away by feminism with a spine.
I don't think that the disrespect or dehumanization that some women participate is the core issue, even though it is an issue.
I shouldn't have to explain to you that since 90% of women are heterosexual women that either have been with men before, or have desired to be with men before, most feminists critical of heterosexual sex or relationships have been the women that they critique at one point or another.
You brought up misogynistic women who lurk in feminist circles supposedly driving male-partered women away, okay, but women still aren't being barred from feminism for being heterosexual lol.
Women who feel driven away by feminism for its bad apples but who simultaneously dont feel driven away by men despite males literally being their oppressors are unserious individuals, I'm sorry.
Address misogyny when you see it, but you aren't being excluded by feminism for being heterosexual any more than you're being excluded by society and men for being a woman ā this is a matter of picking your battles.
You can consider their absence a loss, which is fine, but I think their reluctance to focus on the women who do speak about certain subjects in good faith speaks to a larger issue.
Again, call out misogyny when you see it, absolutely, but you can't weaponize the existence those horrible women simply because you don't want to make changes to your life ā women who share their viewpoints with love do exist.
Separatists and feminists as a whole don't need to be your scapeoats.
The issue is that women are more committed to finding a golden unicorn male than they are to actually engaging with the vast of majority of feminists, whom of which are in fact very understanding. And why? Because of some individuals that get rightfully called out most times?
They'll argue with separatists because they believe that there are incredible males out there that they simply have to keep looking for, but actual incredible feminists that are in abundance have to bear the onus of keeping you from being driven away by some (admittedly, horrible) individuals?
Where's the same grace? They're already sharing their views as best as they can, but bad people do exist even when they're rightfully addressed.
Sorry, those women and their feelings are valid, but there's a gap in logic.
And if you mean that these women won't want to commit to feminism because it'll cause them to have to look at their males and see that the best they have is a benevolent misogynist, then.. lol.
There's really not much anybody can do at that point.
