When you see those videos of parents recording their kids misbehaving in extremely inappropriate and egregious ways while the parent’s only reaction is kind of a gentle “no honey please stop” do that kid a favor and report those accounts and try to get them taken down.

This is child abuse.

If you weren’t already aware, there’s a trend in which parents get their online clout by posting staged videos of their children being terrible. They do not disclose that these videos are staged, because they know it’ll reach further if they get those “if that were my kid I would’ve beat him with the end of my belt that has the buckle” comments. They’re telling these kids how to act and what to say in these videos to get those clicks.

The part that gets me is the thing about posting shocking content online is that you have to keep up with people’s attention span. If you choose shock as the thing you want to grab people with, every new thing you post has to be worse than the last thing you posted or else people will instantly get bored of you and stop giving you the attention you’re looking for. So what happens when these parents run out of ideas for things to give their kids to throw on the ground and punchy mean phrases to say to them? All that’s left is crime, really. And plenty of parents have already dipped their toes in it by telling their kids to cause public disturbances, damage property, and even steal—yes, kids absolutely do this of their own volition, but if you come across a video taken from the parent’s perspective of them just following the kid around gently chiding them while they destroy things, it’s a good indication that that’s not what that kid is really like and they’re being ordered to do that.

This is done with zero regard to their future. These kids’ faces are on the internet forever and will be recognized as the little terror who screamed at mom and smashed dishes on the floor because they wanted a PS5. One day they will need to go to college. One day they will need to get a job. One day they’ll look for a spouse and never be able to find one because everybody’s seen their face and now thinks they’re a complete psychopath. This is child abuse and it should be treated as such.

I think not enough people feel that it is an urgent problem that we have an entire generation of people who have no idea how to cook. If you can’t feed yourself that’s a problem. If you will literally starve if you have no one to rely on to cook for you, you have a serious issue. No wonder you’re all broke, you’re eating out every day! I buy those $70 Costco packs of eight steaks and yes it hurts my pocket initially until you realize it means I have a steak dinner for $8.75 every single night of the week plus one. Compared to the $25 I’d be paying for the exact same meal, but at a restaurant. You save so much money by making your food yourself and if that isn’t enough to sell you you also know for the most part what’s going into it. Nobody knows about nutrition anymore. Do any of you idiots actually know what an electrolyte is? What potassium is and what it’s good for? The difference between good sugar and bad sugar? The reason everybody’s fat is because everywhere you can buy ready made food it’s pumped full of stuff you don’t know anything about. 4) Ultrafine particles can also constrict the arteries in the lungs potentially causing A HEART ATTACK

5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money
