A delicious and comforting toasted cheddar cheese sandwich with the added flavor of buttery leeks. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients: 4 slices of cheddar cheese. 8 slices of bread. 2 leeks, thinly sliced. 4 tablespoons of butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-low heat in a pan. It will take about 5 to 7 minutes of cooking after adding the thinly sliced leeks until they get soft and clear. To your liking, add salt and pepper to the leeks. Then take them out of the pan and set them aside. Put a piece of cheddar cheese on each of the two pieces of bread. Place the sauted leeks on top of the cheese slices. To make sandwiches, put the last few slices of bread on top. Cover the outside of each sandwich with a thin layer of butter. It should take about two to three minutes on each side to grill the sandwiches over medium-low heat until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts. Enjoy the sandwiches while they are still hot!
