Alright my 12-hour screen-free time is over now, and I saw a pattern on FB about 20 minutes ago, and while I have been teaching myself how to read symbol patterns for crochet, this one is stumping me. Without a directional guide besides the color scheme, I am at a loss as to where I went wrong. But my kitty cat looks like Sloth from The Goonies.
From my initial understanding of this and the two that I've attempted so far, you start with mc, ch2, 3dc, ch4, 3dc, all in the mc, and then it changes to yellow, so graduating from orange to yellow, yes yes.. but then the yellow picks up again on the other side. ?? If I do it just going by the yellow, . I skip crocheting the dark red just above the yellow. But that doesn't go with the grading color scheme!
Somebody was saying that this is AI, and that it's not able to be made into the cat that you see on the left part of the picture.
I'm pretty sure that this will translate to that cat, except that I don't understand the directional changes.
I am going to unravel this all the way back to the yellow, and see if adding the dark red above that fixes the wonkiness.
If any crocheters are looking at this and can give me some tips that I might not see, I would appreciate that.
