The reason why Logan is inherently different than Victor and why I think Victor hates him isn’t because Victor feels guilt over his actions but because the fact that he doesn’t. I think to a large extent (more than he’d ever really admit) he at one point genuinely admired Logan. He admired the surface brutality of him and I think why Logan decision to turn away from who he used to be upsets him so much is because he doesn’t understand it. Like yeah. Logan has done TERRIBLE things, was a terrible person but the fact that he knows this and is only really “that person” when he feels like the people he cares about are threatened shows that he isn’t and never really was that person to begin with.
But of course Victor doesn’t see that. All he could see was the part he admired and when Logan suddenly “changes” he hated it because to him it feels fake. It feels like Logan is trying to be something he’s not. Victor can’t accept that he grew to admire the only “fake” thing about long time rival.
