HUH?
Most cop thing I've ever read. what the fuck are you talking about. The posts you're looking for might be on this website but we won't show them to you???
I'm sure all my settings are set to "yes show me mature content no don't filter anything" what are you TALKING ABOUT
the posts are ON THE WEBSITE. I can't search dirty words?? am I five??? is this club penguin??? when I get you
alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

Sewing "a little bit" is one of the most useful skills you can possibly have proportional to how cheap and easy it is to learn.
So many of the items in our daily lives are sew-able. A simple needle and thread changes the way you think. When an item breaks, you no longer think, "I guess I must buy a new one..." Instead, you think, "I guess I must fix it..."
How many of these everyday items rest for eternity in a landfill, because of a simple break that a needle and thread could have fixed? How many excess items were manufactured to make up for the forgetting of the humble needle and thread...?
I love you, needle and thread...
THISSSSSSSSS man the day my nonna's sewing kit was handed to me something changed in me
If nothing else, having a single needle and spool of thread means you can reattach a button. It takes like 30 seconds. A beginner's first attempts might be a little messy, but as long as you put the knot on the underside of the clothes and put the needle through the button holes, you really can't mess it up.
they got married btw
oh you’re not kidding

World Heritage Post
eeby deeby... i haven't heard that name in years...
ok this looks ultra mega based, are you kidding me? can you imagine the bullshit i could get up to with this bad boy? fuck yes i want ten
Wait are iPhone bros coping because Apple has to be more universal? Lol.
Boo hoo i'll be able to add more physical storage to my phone and be able to change out batteries if they degrade as well as all these other optional features I won't have to touch
Continuing in the trend of political cartoons depicting milquetoast moderate positions seem so much cooler and more badass than they are
I love how they add totally absurd things no one is asking for to make the idea look crazy. And still, I must emphasize, failing to make this look like a bad idea.
"Is this what you want? Is this ugly stupid bullcrap what you want??" the biggest loudest idiot in the room asks, holding up a picture of the hottest looking shit I've ever seen
I'm so fucking mad though because WE USED TO HAVE THESE THINGS! NOT THAT LONG AGO! But there's this modern phenomenon where people act like they can't remember anything from longer than one year ago, and it's driving me nuts!
My old phone from 2015 had a replaceable battery, micro SD card slot, and a headphone jack, and it was about a third smaller than my current phone. Why would any of those things make your phone the size of a brick?? Your phone has a battery in it either way, the non-replaceable ones just don't let you get to it. When Apple first announced they were discontinuing audio jacks, everyone was (rightly!) furious that they were taking away the option to use headphones and earbuds they already owned, and forcing everyone to use Apple's expensive wireless bullshit. Now less than ten years later, people act like "but without my shitty fucking airpods, how could I listen to music?" EASILY, WITH A $10 SET OF EARBUDS!
None of this is a new concept! None of this is uncharted territory! It was all the norm just a few years ago, and I can't believe so many adults are pretending they can't remember.
Reblogging this manually. Op doesn't want credit for fear of being terminated.
all i want for 2026 is that gigantic rancid AI bubble to finally burst in such a catastrophic way that the consequences will be so good and i'll never have to see another AI generated image ever again
Like to charge, reblog to cast.
I don't know why, but I never get the custom hearts for liking on mobile OR desktop. My account is haunted, perhaps?

I just googled this and… yes, it’s absolutely real.
And there are so many articles and videos and discussions. Like, the scientific community is buzzing about this.
So much research will have to be redone because the data was absolutely compromised, off by orders of magnitude, by using standard lab gloves.
The world is probably not horrifically contaminated by microplastics. Sterile laboratories, however, are contaminated by latex and nitrile gloves.
Thank God someone bothered to check.
>I just googled this and… yes, it’s absolutely real.
Sources beyond dude just trust me, for the skeptics.
Scientists may have been unknowingly inflating microplastics pollution estimates, and the surprising source could be their own lab gloves. A

Nitrile and latex gloves that scientists wear while they are measuring microplastics may lead to a potential overestimation of the tiny poll
Nitrile and latex gloves may cause overestimation of microplastics - Phys.org (it’s a pdf)
Researchers discovered a standard piece of lab equipment has added thousands of microplastic ‘false positives’ per each square-millimeter un
Ordinary Lab Gloves May Have Skewed Microplastic Data: That doesn’t mean microplastics aren’t a problem, though
That should be enough
Oh thank Christ.
This is insane how do you fuck up so badly
it is very easy to fuck up this badly by playing it safe and following precedent for research. obviously that was a mistake but i don’t think it’s unimaginable how lab scientists would think they should use gloves
I would argue this isn't even a fuck up, this is how scientific progress always happens. You realize something isn't working as good as you thought, and find a way to make it better.
Rules about doctors and scientists wearing gloves were established to prevent contaminating samples, and to keep people safe while handling dangerous substances. In like 99% of situations, the gloves they were using worked perfectly for those purposes. We just found one situation where they really, really don't work. But they already have a different type of glove they can use instead, and now all future research will be better.
im obsessed with the world of donkey kong, where the "barrel" is an abstracted, functionless object that seems to just manifest in the wild
As a kid I assumed the barrels were what the bananas came in, and DK and his family just reused them for stuff the way my parents would reuse takeout containers as free tupperware. DK bought more bananas? Okay well Funky can turn the barrel into an airplane or something. Make a barrel-based public transit system.
"But why does DK have to buy bananas?" Because the dude is clearly eating more than the island could naturally produce. Look, there's some holes in this theory, but you have to remember it's coming from a six year old back in 1994. I was doing my best with the info I had.
