LOUIE'S PICKS VOL. 1 - vinyl/cd/cassette/guitar picks now available on needlejuice records!! a compilation album of some of my favorite tunes from over the years, one side of vocal tunes and one of instrumentals
(please pardon the album art, i made it in 2023 when i was still a blender newbie lol)
Washington Post is paywalling the article but it looks like Taylor Farms β a consumer bagged salad brand that also supplies produce to grocers and fast food chains like Taco Bell, Walmart, McDonald's, Chipotle, Burger King, KFC, and Meijer βmay be at least one of the sources of the current cyclosporiasis outbreak.
Taylor makes bagged greens, salad kits, chopped salads, the works. Keep avoiding supermarket greens, but keep an especially close eye out for this brand/supplier. The above list of grocers and fast food chains is NOT exhaustive, so please continue getting lettuce and other raw produce taken off your burgers, sandwiches, etc.
Their other brand is EARTHBOUND ORGANICS!!!
its wild that no ones even pointed out that two of the tumblr sexyman contenders were in the same show together
I would like to note that I left flowers for her afterwards, just as a βsorry for using your grave for contentβ

Tumblr Sexyman Contest 2026 Final Round
Senshi (Dungeon Meshi)
Ryland Grace (Project Hail Mary)
Mr. Ant Tenna (Deltarune)
Tenna art by @9Aaaalt29 on twt
Iβm so proud of senshi for making it so far in the tumblr sexyman poll. I think itβs so beautiful that tumblr has reached a point where a short fat hairy bearded man is the pinnacle of sexuality for a large swath of this userbase. itβs like when you see before & after pictures of a rainforest recovering from deforestation. nature is healing and we can fight god
I hope he wins so someone will have to explain to ryoko kui what a tumblr sexyman is
I have to say I forgot the oncelerβs thing was cutting down trees when I made my metaphor.
the forest is also a metaphor for his bush
how does this post have almost 20k notes and senshi isnβt even winning. the poll is not over he needs your help!!!!!! do it for the fat boys
my controversial opinion is I donβt think Zuko was confused by βmy first girlfriend turned into the moonβ
he was there during siege of the North. he infiltrated the spirit oasis. he has an uncle who studies spirits and the spirit world. he watched the sky go dark then the moon suddenly reappear like everyone else in the entire world did. and most importantly he watched zhao get eaten by a giant godzilla fish spirit.
his entire life since he saw that beam of blue-white light in the south pole has been βthis day has already been so goddamn weirdβ
The only really new information was that that was Sokkaβs girlfriend
Important opinion in the tags that I need to have be part of the post:
Also, Iroh was there? He literally watched Sokka make out with the moon spirit. And you want to tell me that a romantic sap like him would not have immediately told Zuko about this romantic tragedy? Please, Zuko has known about this for ages, he just knows that this is not an acceptable situation in which to say βyeah, I know.β
Sokka: βMy girlfriend turned into the moon.β
Zuko: βI know.β βYes.β βShe sure did.β βUh huh.β βTell me something new.β βAre we still talking about that?β βThatβs rough, buddy.β
[image: tags by samwisethebold: #itβs not that he doesnβt get what sokka means #itβs that how on earth do you respond to that]
When you put it like that, this is actually a legendary display of tact on Zukoβs part

Black Character Designs
Im taking a gamble with this, i did this on my toyhouse but im curious what the results would be on tumblr.
Do You Feel Black Characters Are "Harder" To Draw?
No
Yes
If you picked yes, please explain why you feel this way.
If you comment please remember to use BLACK if you specifically are talking about Black people, dont substitute it for Poc when you mean Black. This post is also NOT a confessional, please be respectful.
Decided to post the questions along with this
β If you find Black characters harder to design, why do you feel this way?
β Do you think its important to learn to draw black characters?
β What are things you should avoid doing when designing Black characters?
β Do black character designs stop at human\humanoid designs?
β For Black users only, while everything is certainly the answer, is there anything specific you'd like to see more of in black character designs?
You can answer as many as you like, just dont answer the last one if your not Black.
Hey so. You understand the things to avoid about drawing Black characters but are still afraid of drawing us?
Let me explain something, i understand where this comes from, somewhat, it is understandable to not want to accidentally do something harmful, but in my opinion, being afraid and avoidant of drawing Black people is more harmful than trying and messing up a bit the first time, its very VERY easy to not draw caricatures, i promise you, its incredibly easy to avoid, unless you are being careless, inconsiderate, or malicious, you will not draw an offensive caricature. You have to remember that we are people too, we have different features of course, but Black people, again, are people and if you draw people you can draw a Black person.
You won't be able to learn or improve if you lead with fear and not consideration, yes, it is important to consider certain aspects of drawing Black people (i.e, checking to make sure the skin isnt grey, making sure you consider how your portraying your Black characters, etc.) But being afraid of accidentally doing something racist will just hold you back, and in my opinion, can come off quite othering, you should be mindful and considerate, not fearful.
Its also important to pinpoint what exactly your afraid of. Afraid of accidentally doing something racist? Well have you done research on what to avoid? Have you asked for feedback or advice from Black artists and writers?
Is it backlash your afraid of? Are you assuming Black individuals will come after you if you make one little slip up? I personally think this mentality feeds into the Angry minority stereotype and how online we're frequently accused and framed as bullies, aggressors, harassers, etc. When i assure the vast majority of Black people do not condone those things nor do we lead with anger, in fact, most of us are very nice about criticisms or tips, so if its backlash your afraid of, you need to get rid of the mindset you will be attacked for every little thing you do, if you are genuinely trying, no one is going to go after you (even then, criticism is not going after anyone and if someone points out something and its not in a super sweet, soft way, thats still not automatically bad, Black people have a right to be wary of nonblack people handling topics of Blackness, Black people and Black culture, if someone says "Hey no, thats really fucked up actually", your response to that will tell us everything, all we really want is a "oh shit, my bad, I'll fix it, im so sorry for that, i appreciate the criticism" and thats it)
So use references, tips and tutorials, ask for advice, do research, engage with Black art and artists, leading with this fear is more harmful than good, you shouldn't be afraid to draw a human being, especially if you literally haven't even tried to do it yet.

Unfriendly reminder that if you're displeased with a piece of fanfiction your courses of action are:
Read something else
Bitch PRIVATELY to friends
Write your own take on the premise (strongly recommend!)
All of the above
Under no circumstances should you try to "politely" critique the author who put the story up as a hobby. For free. Especially if the story in question is multiple years old. Ao3 is not Goodreads

He was as tall as he was tall, and his eyes were the color they were. To describe his hair one would say that he had some. His face had all the features you'd expect, and none of the ones you wouldn't. "There he is," people would often say of him, but only when he was there. And they were right.
