Do you know how it feels seeing someone with your (taken) name with similar ideologies but more chaos/pos on tumblr? Imagine being a chaos failure, what do i even do?

First, I'm going to assume /pos is supposed to be /positive here. Denoting something intended to be complimentary. In which case, Aww, thanks! However if this is intended to be some kind of hatemail, Weak.

Second, Darling I ain't nearly as chaotic as you seem to think I am. I think I just have Tumblr Accent, ADHD, and a stunning lack of impulse control or filter.

In Danny's defense

Stealth: A fantastic tool for infiltration, sabotage, and shutting something down before it begins. Not that useful for dealing with a direct, active attack. It's not like the ghosts are all part of some organization Danny could stop at the root and prevent all future attacks. And it's not like Danny is fighting ghosts just because they are ghosts. He fights the ones that are causing trouble. By the time Lunch Lady is summoning meat minions, what is there for Danny to stealth?

Evasion: Danny is shown at several points to make use of evasive techniques. Skulker comes to mind first and foremost. When a ghost is after him specifically, Danny frequently tries to disengage first. However, either the ghost is targeting him specifically and will be back if Danny doesn't take more decisive action against them. Or they weren't after him at all; and the evasion might save his own skin, but it's not going to stop the ghost's overall scheme.

Long range attacks: Danny uses ectoblasts all the time. But they can only do so much against a very large threat (dragon) or a ton of smaller threats (army of meat minions). Also, as with evasion, they don't usually stop the overall scheme. A lot of ghosts, Danny included, can simply take the hit and get right back to what they were doing before. The only thing Danny can do to protect others is make himself a big enough, direct enough threat to pull the ghost's full attention on to him so they stop attacking others.

A lot of Danny's choices and fight style make much more sense when you think of him kinda like a firefighter.

Firefighters go were fires have become dangerous to save and protect people and stop the fire from endangering anyone else.

Danny goes were ghosts have become dangerous to save and protect people and stop the ghost from endangering anyone else.

That's what makes him a hero.

#Tangential: I think that's the primary difference between vigilantes and heroes #Obviously the lines are still very blurry in the nitty gritty nuance.#But on the overall #Vigilantes are very mission oriented. They go out to FIGHT something.#Often something smaller as a proxy for something larger or more abstract #Such as fighting criminals as a proxy for fighting crime itself. Or fighting villains as a proxy for fighting evil or injustice itself.#Heroes on the other hand are essentially first responders. They respond to active danger #They go out to SAVE/HELP/PROTECT people.#That's why Batman is a vigilante in Gotham and a hero with the Justice League #Anyway - apologies about getting over-analytical on your post OP #I have a lot of thoughts. Sometimes they even make sense!

Bruce is the first living person Danny in WTNS has spoken to in four months, outside of Vlad.

Which on it’s own is crazy when you don’t think about how long four months feels like in practice, but then you start thinking about it, and compare it to how long a week feels by the end of it.

And suddenly four months feels a lot more daunting. He spent a 1/3 of a year in that house, alone, with only Vlad and the DK for company (that he didn't even want and ignored to the best of his abilities)

Maybe you could try reading "fluff" or "comfort" tagged fanfictions? Maybe crack fic too. Social media/chatfics. Easy but absorbing, and more long-form than tumblr posts, so if you successfully vanish into one you can stay there for a while. Also less likely to randomly throw something upsetting at you. That's what I'd try, anyway. Totally understand if what (sometimes) works for me doesn't for you, so feel free to just ignore me, ofc.

Yeh, heat can be miserable.

If it's any help, I survived 8 summers in TN without AC; my favorite trick was dipping bandanas in water, wringing them out pretty good (decently damp, but not dripping), and freezing them for about an hour. Once frozen, wear on head or back of neck for about an hour of cooling relief.

#Also open air and shade is always better than inside and stuffy #Many an hour was spent in a folding chair in the garage with the garage door open #Barefeet on a concrete floor letting the breeze blow through #Still miserable #But less #Anyway - may your relief come quick and stay long #<3

I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.

Hey OP, love your scalding take here; don't forget about commutes.

Once you factor in commute times (which even for short distances can be grotesquely inflated due to the fact that so many people are all commuting at the same time, but that's a different conversation) many people are actually devoting upwards of 10-12 hours a day on "work related tasks."
