the thing about the other is that it made gallifrey. we know rassilon took gallifrey by force and we know omega found time travel and we know rassilon speaks of the other as though it’s some demonic entity he’s made a deal with and most likely the other is the timeless child so that’s where time lords get their regenerations from. so the other made gallifrey. it was there in the planning sessions it helped in the military coup it made them nigh-immortal. the other made gallifrey what it is despite gallifrey being consistently terrible to it.
