April Parker was reported missing in Monticello, New York on May 26th, 2014. Prior to her disappearance, the 31-year-old woman was living on Terry Lane in Monticello. Around two weeks after April was reported missing, skeletonized remains were found in a wooded area behind the Sleepy Hollow apartment complex - not far from April’s home. It took over a month for the remains to be identified, but on July 25th, 2014, the remains were positively identified as that of April Parker. Investigators classified her death as a homicide. At first, April’s cause of death was not publicly revealed. However, investigators did announce that they did not believe that April’s murder was a random act of violence. They believed she was killed by somebody she knew. Still, years passed without any suspects publicly announced in the case. Finally, in 2021, a major break occurred. A man named Keymarro Guiden was arrested and charged with the second-degree murder of April Parker. Guiden and April were involved in a romantic relationship; Guiden is the father of April’s youngest son. He was reportedly person of interest since the onset of the investigation.
