Will never forgive Matt Boldy for making me listen to Wingmen podcast AGAIN. So here are some very quick notes if you don’t want to do that. Because I’m a gracious selfless human being.
“Super close” team in Minnesota but talked about the closeness of the Team USA, the brotherhood they formed. How special it was.
Was most excited to watch and play with Auston Matthews and Eichel.
Discussed Bolds huge room he somehow got at the Olympic Village. His roommate was Sanderson. They were always playing cards (playing Golf so fucking boring) and music in there. They made a table out of bed ends and stole chairs.
He spends most of his time in Minnesota and spends about two weeks in Boston, specifically the cape he will be there end of July.
Talk about Quinn (shocker lol). He’s great. He takes two minute shifts so it’s not hard to get on the ice with him (jokes!). He has the puck the whole game etc. constantly creating plays. Quinn hates the rain “why would we go out it’s raining?” “Oh can’t go out now it’s raining”
Played his first NHL game in Boston. Talked about this a bit, very sweet. Whole family was there. His brother and friends wore all his different jerseys from childhood.
Discussion of Kirill. He’s the biggest “dog” ever. He is a superstar that plays the game like a fourth liner (blocks shots, goes into the corner etc.) he gets no calls from refs because of that. Bolds isn’t picky with who he plays with (that’s a lie Bolds).
Miami party, best night of his life constantly smiling. He got a Mike Modano jersey at some point and was wearing it. The Fabes glasses etc. lots of giggling here.
Some story about dinner at the Olympics. I don’t know they were laughing about it salt guy didn’t put salt on his steak.
Discussion of his older brother. He was just here in Minnesota for a bit and he names him as the person that pushed him the most.
