Captain's Journal, Earth Date: 1st July 3227, Galactic Date: 12-3467-008
this is officially my first day as captain, first day aboard the new ship too, I mean, new to me, the USSS: grotesque is an old ship, a warship from the times of the war against the gua'kali, now, almost 100 years later, converted into a research ship, and converted means they've taken out almost all the weapons and put in a new artificial intelligence to drive it.
Anyway, today is going to be an extremely busy day, I have to introduce myself to the crew, meet the bridge crew, familiarize myself with the ship, and probably re-explain our mission to those who didn't care enough to read my emails
By the way, I should probably introduce myself and present the mission of the grotesque, I am Captain Jace Moon, historian and anthropologist, a few years ago I joined the star brigade of the union of solar systems for the opportunity to interact and study aliens and their cultures, unfortunately, mixed-species crewed ships are still rare, and books and information about the cultures of our neighbors are even rarer, so I dedicated myself to climbing the ranks of the USS and starting a xeno anthropology project.
and this is the mission of grotesque, we go from planet to planet, we are going to study biology, history both before and after the entry of the species into the galactic community, we will also see a little bit of architecture and weapons development and how it all relates to culture of the species
this is
the xenopology project
