My car's Bluetooth is completely fucked so I've been listening to the CDs over the last few days. Normally I'd be spinning Time n Place by Kero Kero Bonito (the greatest album of all time) on repeat, but my dog died on friday and I cant deal with an album about a pet's death and its resulting existentialist reflection right now or ill start crying at work. So I've been fucking around listening to whatever else I've got in there. Today was 1999 by Prince. That was never my favourite album of his, but listening to it today I gained a lot of respect for it. Lady Cab Driver is eight minutes long, has like five different crazy ass solos, and a two minute long interlude where its just him fucking the titular lady cab driver and dedicating each thrust to everything from Yosemite Sam to God to wealth inequality. Every song on that album is just as crazy as Lady Cab Driver. Your fave could never.
