Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.

Not a single one of my wife's fingers is completely straight. If you look at them closely -- which I have, many times, over the past 22 years -- you can see where they were broken, over and over, taped in place, and where she just kept fucking playing.
When I first met her, she used to joke about how her coach said, "I could get more than that out of a pig if I kicked it hard enough," and that was the nicest fucking thing he said. Two decades later, she's like, "Yeah, that man verbally and physically abused all of us for years."
There is at least one football game she played in high school that she simply doesn't remember, because she was a linebacker. She got a concussion. She got up and kept playing... or so she's told. She doesn't remember, because she had a fucking concussion and they let her keep playing.
I hate football so much. It ruined her back, her knees, fucked up her hands... everyone was so obsessed with how tall she was, how broad-shouldered. No one ever pushed her to transition, but I fucking wish someone had at least suggested it. That would have hurt her so much less than FUCKING FOOTBALL. Like, it would have been actually beneficial to her.
I heard that one of the actual reasons that organizations like the NFL have tried so hard to downplay CTE and other injuries like it is because theyāre terrified that moms will refuse to let their children play football anymore and that entire massive industry will come collapsing down because of it.

an interpretation is how one reads the existing text. it is not an invented fact nor is it a headcanon, it is a reading. e.g. i think merlin tries to poison morgana out of misplaced self-hatred. or, i think that one line was delivered with suppressed malice and shows a nuanced relationship.
fanon is the general fandomās accepted headcanons and interpretations that elaborate or recontextualize canon. e.g. merlin is a badass waif and morgana is a bitch.
these are all different words with different meanings.
And donāt forget to do any exercises or other activities recommended by your doctor. Those are important too.

Common phrases from owners that really do need clarification:
"Breathing heavy": do you mean panting? Coughing? Reverse sneezing? Labored abdominal breathing?
"Not moving": does the animal not *want* to get up but physical can and will if you pester it? Is it conscious but truly unable to get up? Are the hind legs specifically not working? Is the animal limp/unmoving when you pick it up?
"Has a wound": is this a superficial scratch or did the animal tangle with barbed wire? Are all pieces of the animal still attached? Also, did this happen today, yesterday, last week or 3 weeks ago?

They are choosing to lay in one spot and prefer not to get up unless they have to, such as for food or to go to the bathroom? Are they unwilling to move even for food?

I donāt say that to be flippant, human babies are so incredibly fragile that before the modern era, about half of them died before adulthood. That is a natural 50/50 of making it. the nature center I work at has classrooms of kids and parents with kids coming in all the time, and I am amazed at how adults treat kids and behave around kids.
Not even always the sense of being openly mean to the kids, but in the sense of acting like they must behave rigidly a certain way at all times and that if anything is one minute off schedule or if kids have any unstructured time at all it is the End Of The Fucking World.
So many adults hustling kids from activity to activity, all snippy and harried as though every single thirty minute Scheduled Activity Block is an unmissable appointment and the whole building will blow up if someone is five minutes late to something.
We have these exhibits with animal bones and rocks and pressed flowers and stuff that are clearly placed at child height and the way parents will SNAP at their kids to DON'T TOUCH THAT DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING amazes me.
There is so little tolerance for kids acting silly or just being playful or anything, the adults will act so annoyed and stern and harsh for the littlest things.
In those kids' situation I would be shitting my pants with anxiety all the time, The level of uptightness and intolerance for any little bit of disorder makes me secondhandedly anxious.
Are kids even allowed to play without having predetermined activities scheduled for them down to the minute that they have to line up neatly for.
I saw on pinterest a few years ago some 14 year old girl's school schedule (written out as a cute thing like here's how I plan my day!!) and she had literally every activity down to like, 15 minute blocks scheduled in. and I was like. who could do this without wanting to set themselves on fire. School dominates kids' lives to the point that they don't have time to learn how to be human beings and it doesn't even successfully teach kids to fucking read.
It's like the momentum of tyrannical institutions and structures increases to where nothing the institution is supposed to do even works any more and it's just a bunch of rules and punishments and uptight, stressed wannabe tyrants suffering under their own tyrants, and it can't stop itself even when nothing is fucking working.
It annoyed me because the article I read that was like "Kids These Days don't have enough discomfort tolerance because adults coddle them too much" alluded to kids not being able to engage in risk play and have unsupervised play time, which was so close to an actual point that it made the rest of the bullshit more infuriating.
It's especially diabolical that I witness this working at a nature center because quiet, unstructured time in the forest is literally what deprogrammed me of all this toxic, uptight bullshit
The forest will gently teach you that no matter what happens, no matter how many people you disappoint, no matter how many expectations you fail to reach, no matter how few people understand you, you belong in this world and you have a place in it. It will show you that everything we are taught to be stressed and hurried about is fake. And it hurts to see kids being excited out of their minds to be surrounded by trees and bugs and all creatures, and the adults so caught up in the boxes and boundaries of the fake constructed world that they scold the kids for being wild creatures full of joy and play
