Jefferson’s expressions was what I needed in my life and didn’t know I needed until I saw every last one of them.

Helpless/Satisfied quenched my thirst for alternative, two sides of the same coin stories. Angelica’s expressions are obscured in Helpless, but you can tell something is up with her. It isn’t until Satisfied you get the full depth and heartbreak of those emotions.

Which tells me Eliza knew and always knew about Angelica’s feelings for Alexander from the very start.

Second Burn kills but Burn slays. Eliza’s anger, disgust, heartbreak and disappointment is conveyed beautifully. You CAN FEEL IT.

Going on with that, The Room Where It Happens has the same thing that happens to Burr when he discovers Hamilton’s endorsement. 

He’s sitting on capitol hill, enjoying his chances. People are pumping him UP. Hamilton’s words reach him, and you see his smile gradually turn into a frown of desolation. That…really hurt. OUCH.

“Honey come here. I’m sorry. I didn’t realize you didn’t know what Tupperware you have to use. Here, let me explain every container we have. That way the next time you have to put food away you know which container to use.”

And then proceed, in excruciating detail, which containers are which, what they are used for, the correct lids, and how to put on the lids. Do it in as condescending voice as possible.

If he tries to say that he knows, or tries to stop you in any way, just calmly say, “no, you shouldn’t be embarrassed by this. It’s okay to admit you don’t know how to do something. Next time just ask, sweetie.” And continue in as much inane detail as possible.

Men like this don’t care if their wife or girlfriend thinks they’re stupid. In fact, men play stupid all the time when it comes to chores so their wife will just do them because she can’t trust him to actually do the job correctly. It’s called strategic incompetence and it should be called out, not indulged. Explaining how a chore is done, even sarcastically, is feeding it because it opens the door to “well I just won’t do it because you’re just going to criticize me/you’re so much better at it than me.” Now he’s off scott free and the woman’s a nag stuck with another chore.
