if cats are mean to you, consider the fact u might deserve it

consider that perhaps they don’t like being petted. consider that it takes a while for a cat to decide they like you, and that although a person’s treatment of animals says a lot about a person, an animal’s treatment of a person has, perhaps, very little to do with that specific person and more to do with how the animal has been treated in the past. 

Also consider the fact that, perhaps, you’re viewing cat behavior from the perspective of dog behavior, which is common if you are someone with experience with dogs but not cats, but these are two completely different species of animal with body language and body signals that aren’t comparable.

also be aware that what some people consider as cats being mean is actually just cats being cats, with no malicious intent at all
