there's something to be said about how apo and cleo's diametrically opposed views on turning are a big reason why apo and cleo don't understand each other and I think I can play with that via dialogue for a hypothetical argument some point after pearl is turned:
"You're saying me turning Sausage on accident is unforgivable? When you turned Pearl on purpose?" Apo snaps.
"Don't turn this on me!" Cleo hisses. "She asked me to turn her!"

How long do you think V!Cleo felt Legs blood on their hands? How long do you think it took them to stop waking up in the middle of the night from nightmares of their dying face twisted and mutated until it was unrecognisable before it turned to ash?
Because however long you think it took Cleo to get over killing those people when she was thralled, I guarantee it took her 10 times longer for to get over taking away one of the best men she ever knew from the world where he could have done so much good with her own hands…
Listen the thing you need to understand about V!Cleo is that they have been in control of their actions for three weeks and you can in fact tell. Yeah they read as kind of mean and controlling and hypocritical. And they often are. But they also have only been allowed to be those things for three weeks so we gotta give them them a second to figure out how people are supposed to treat each other okay? If you spent 80 years being mind controlled to kill and 94 total years in a vampire cult that lives by 10 strict rules you would probably not be the most pleasant person ever. Cleo thinks that the big problem with the vampires in Oakhurst is that they didn't have enough rules and etiquette. They came here expecting to either get mind controlled or die. The fact that they have full autonomy and got to live was not an outcome they expected and they're dealing with that. Give it five or so years where they have to regularly interact with people and they'll probably calm down. Make them take some classes in the city the way you send your socially inept teenager to summer camp to learn how to be a person.
This will be breif, I just wanna state thoughts I'm having about the discorse.
Boundaries being respected is 100% the top priority, if someone is uncomfortable that should be accounted for. Whats not okay, is harassing people even for doing things that assist their comfort and not taking any actions to actually avoid what makes you uncomfortable. I hate to say it, but people will push comfort zone. People will take your charecters and make unique creative things with them. Sometimes people will project their own struggles and emotions onto charecters or do things to cope. Are those emotions any less valid?
I think the boundry of not wanting to be shipped is completely valid, and should be respected. But people should not be harassed for being creative and having preexisting works involving ships, which I've seen happening. The way this is being done is making a already iffy community split even further and is causing more harm than good for everyone involved.
Thinking about vampires again and the fact that Cleo kept their trauma so well hidden and under wraps that so many of the fandom doesn't realize how bad things were in their past and it kills me. It kills me even worse thinking about the fact that they only opened up to Legundo about some of what they experienced and then hours later killed him makes it that much worse to me.
I'm seeing yalls tags about the moonrot part and OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THAT TOO.
I genuinely think Cleo just would not be able to tell Pearl for decades in fear because of how it whent the last time they opened up and that stings so bad. Pearl would know that something bothers them, but they blatantly refuse to tell her any of it and it stings so badly.
Plus the Cleo and Apo parallel where neither really opened up hits hard knowing that Cleo was more open about things than Apo. I really wish the two were able to properly communicate for longer, but I think the hatred brewed because they were simular.

I am simply curious of your stance on the situation, but it's a complicated and messy situation for sure, and I think I speak for all of us in saying it is justified to move on without speaking about it, and I don't believe any of us will judge you for doing so. I spoke about it briefly on stream today but it's worth re-iterating here too
I was only aware of one situation between Avid and another creator(s), which I was learned about pretty much after the dust had already settled. Both sides had laid it to rest and were steering clear of one another.
This sudden revelation that it wasn't an isolated incident and happening to most people in their orbit was a shock.
I seem to have avoided all of this scenario as I was never close with Avid/Marm. I've literally only interfaced with them during content and any team meeting calls for Misadventures, Vampires and Flight SMP. In Flight specifically I was never seeking them out for chit-chats or roleplay, but if I stumbled upon them I would engage because it'd be strange in character to just u-turn ya know. So you've all seen the vast majority of my interactions with them.
I'm obviously still pissed off that my friends and collaborators have been hurt (some incredibly deeply) and they all know I'm here for them as an ear should they need it, but hopefully this chapter is behind all of us swiftly. I'm hopeful that the healing process will be helped along by the fact that they've ejected themselves from the MCYT space. It means there isn't a constant reminder or injustice being thrust on their FYP or timeline constantly.
Last note, I've seen way too many people have been kicking themselves for not knowing any of this from a viewer perspective, btu how would you? I'm behind the scenes and it was mostly obscured from me too. Your standing with creators is often just 'i make silly thing, you enjoy watching silly thing' - you've no other evidence to understand their motives or movements off camera. You can only judge and inform yourself with what you're presented. So go easy on yourselves mkay?

So, I am a Vampires smp Applerot enjoyer. Not because it's healthy, because god no its not, but because in my mind they have similarities.
The main reason both disliked eachother is they lied and were not truely with the humans, despite doing the same themself. Both in episode 8 were clear about not being entirely with the humans but they were at eachothers throats for stuff and it hits me so hard.
Also because of the quiet but harsh support in episode three. "I tried to eat my pig..." "I know, I know." THEY COULD OF BEEN ADORABLE.

Vampires smp Cleo has burn scars propaganda
So like, everyone talks about Owen having burn scars from trying to pull Louis out of the fire, but what about Cleo? They straight up say in a letter at the start of one of their episodes "I walked through fire for you" in regards to their mother who died in a fire. I feel like Cleo would have a lot of burn scars on their feet and legs mainly from trying to get to their dying mother before Aric grabbed and thralled them in front of their mother to punish her.
Also, Cleo in genrel probably has similar trauma regarding fire and reminders due to such. When Owen talks about what happened to Louis in episode five we hear the sounds of fire and a kid screaming. Even if it was at a minimum 80 years beforehand we can see how it still effects them.
I like to think the reason they weren't swinging their sword in episode three twords the vampires the same way they did in episode two twords people just in their house was because of the smell of burning hair giving them deja vu to their mother dying. They seemed to be hesitating more and distracted before they ended up getting turned.
Anyways, thats my V!Cleo propaganda, the day their fire related trauma is addressed in any extent simular to how Owens is by this fandom is the day I die happy.
