As of March 5th, the bill is not law yet. It has been passed by the Alabama Senate, but it has not been approved by the governor. The article isn’t super clear on how close the House bill is to the Senate bill, either, so the bill may also be delayed while they reach a compromise.

It probably will become law–I don’t particularly trust Kay Ivey, and it could pass with a revote even if she does veto it–but crucially, it isn’t law yet.

Anyone under 20 who is on puberty blockers or HRT and can’t leave Alabama should look into switching their care to an out-of-state facility as soon as possible. EDIT: Trans in the South (link) has a directory of different options for trans-affirming healthcare in southern states. From my understanding, the bill does not make it illegal to possess puberty blockers or HRT that was prescribed out-of-state.

really tired bc its way past my bedtime and i just had a meltdown but i calculated,the cost of my most important urgent dental work earlier and i still need to raise $1264 dollars to get the surgery done right. this includes general anaesthesia bc my eds body doesn't react to local and if they use local instead i will still Feel every tooth getting removed and bone grafts so my jaw doesnt disintegrate.

tl;dr I experienced medical neglect as a kid bc my mom didn't trust doctors and they were usually always racist so I didn't get the dental work,I needed as a kid. Leading to me having a severely crowded jaw. I've had a chronic tooth infection for more than two years and I can't stand,the pain anymore plus I don't want the infection to spread to my face. medicaid only covers the cost of the actual removal of my wisdom teeth and that isn't even a definite so. Here's hoping!

anyway yeah. $1264 dollars left. not including the antibiotics and deep cleaning for my gum disease. pls help I'm just so,tired

Someone who's name I cannot think of right now committed suicide recently on Facebook live. People on Tik Tok have been stitching the video of this man taking his own life with a gun into cat videos and such to trick people into seeing it. Its reccomended for the next few days you either stay off of tik tok or you stay on your following page. It's never okay to joke about someones deaths especially a suicide. The family is trying to grieve and its rude to make such jokes. If you do come across one of these videos dont interact. If you can just pause and report it. If it's too much just scroll away.

When I totaled my car last spring, it was by plowing straight thru a fence into a cow pasture on my way to a job interview, and the one thing that saved me from being utterly consumed by despair was the fact that the cows were utterly bonkers with curiosity about the weird object that was suddenly in their field, and they completely SWARMED me and my car with good-natured excitement. They ate my lunch (and my cars bill of sale documents), they used the wrecked husk of my car as a rubbing post, they tried to lick my face, and most importantly because of them I was not just crying alone in the rain, and for these things I'm literally forever in their debt.
