Sometimes I'm just reading something in a language different from my mother tongue, whether is an article for college, a book, fanfic or simply a post here and I'm stuck with the fact that I'm indeed understanding it. And I stand there like holy shit I can understand this, I'm reading it and it makes sense and I know how to modify that sentence to make it easier or harder to understand, or could name a few synonyms for that word and even antonyms and is so so amazing like our mind are amazing, we can!! learn!! so !! many !! writing systems !! and!! sentence structure !! and!! grammar !! and !! vocabulary!! and whole ass LANGUAGES!!

being bilingual is all fun and games until you're trying to write something in your native language but your brain keeps giving you scenes in your second language and you're like "this is NOT what I ordered"

People think being bilingual is having fluency in two languages, when the reality is that it’s the ability to speak two languages as broken as possible.
