All of the CQMS peak lords are different breeds of dragons that frequent a specific area. It just so happens that SY is the like… dragon control guy that handles dragon sightings in the area.

Now, not all dragons are the same size, and not all of them have the same anatomy…. SO YOU HAVE SCENES OF LARGE WIND DRAGON SJ DECIDING TO NAP AND SUNBATHE IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROAD. HE TAKES UP THE ENTIRE STREET AND WON’T MOVE—EVEN SNAPPING AT ANYBODY THAT GETS CLOSE.

SY, who is familiar with this dragon (he feeds it on occasion and once helped treat its injury) is called and he’s just so tired when he walks up. He’s pinching the bridge of his nose and trying to keep his voice calm as he tells SJ politely that “you cannot nap here.” This of course quickly turns into a screaming match between man and dragon where SJ lets out a loud screech and storms off, knocking streetlights askew as he leaves. It doesn’t cause any harm, but it’s enough of an inconvenience for SY that SJ feels like he’s won.

Water dragon/Serpent Liu Qingge who keeps entering grocery stores to get misted in the vegetable section. It’s unsanitary and he keeps eating the produce there and nobody can get him out. Of course SY is called and after a back and forth they have to bring a fire truck over to hose LQG down in what LQG considers an epic battle. Of course this wrecks the supermarket a bit but LQG stops going there in favor of appearing at ungodly hours of the day to challenge fire trucks to fights.

HUGE earth dragon YQY that disrupts the city life every time he rises on his hind legs to check the rooftops of nearby buildings for SJ. He keeps stepping on things and breaking things in his search for the wind dragon. Thankfully YQY is much more agreeable than SJ and accepts the compromise of “Asking around, rather than searching on his own. This brings us scenes of YQY wanting to start searching for his wayward dragon but remembering that he shouldn’t be so destructive so instead he peers into a building with a large eye and lets out the most polite “trill” he can muster. (It’s like a deep growl thing). It takes the locals a few months to get used to this, and when they do they always laugh and tell YQY to hold on while they check their local areas dragon watch website before pointing him in the right direction.

Plant dragon MQF (an earth dragon subspecies) that is very interested in hospitals and often peers in through windows just to watch things happen. He doesn’t do it often and likes to imitate whatever he sees on wild specimen. He’s less of a problem than the others, it only becomes a problem when spring comes around because then he’s warding patients away from the hospital because it’s his territory. Each time SY is called over and usually taken hostage, where he’ll offer MQF some type of snack and sedate him. In reality MQF is aware of the sedatives and kicks up a fuss for the sole purpose of building an immunity before beginning to replicate it through his magical plant powers. He hasn’t managed to do it yet but still… Clever fucking dragon.

Fire dragon WQW that keeps building his nests in Home Depot’s. It happens way too often. The only solution SY’s found is temporary relocations, but those usually don’t last long. The longest relocation they managed to do was putting the dragon in a glass blowing facility. The only reason it didn’t work out is because the place shut down after a while, they’d been going out of business anyways. All SY can do is scold WQW away and call it a day knowing that he’ll (WQW) inevitable come back in like a few months.

Fellow wind dragon QQQ who likes to lounge around in places where she shouldn’t be. She’s taken interest in kites and has been frequently harassing this shop owner—‘s ex boyfriend. Yeah, she’s a dragon with a grudge. QQQ, lover of pretty things, is quite fond of a shop owner that makes kites that resemble her. She’s always amazed by the likeness and prideful at how her beauty is being appreciated. When the shop owner temporarily shut down because she got screwed over by her cheating scumbag ex boyfriend, QQQ somehow connected the dots and has started terrorizing him… literally, she’s not playing she is actively hunting him. SY’s glad she hasn’t been able to get to him yet, otherwise there’d be a whole mess and then the city might try to get rid of her and it’d be this entire hassle (one that he’s already been through). Unlike SJ, when SY explains that if she kills the evil ex she won’t be able to stay and her beloved kite maker will get in trouble as well, she seems to catch the memo and backs off. (SJ’s evil ass is a casual killer of humans and often hunts poachers for sport. No matter how elegant he looks he how patient he is with civilians, SJ is actually quite cruel.)

SY’s only basis of fighting the city on witchunting SJ is that SJ’s only been going after poachers (a lie he’s eaten a few civilians too but what SY doesn’t know won’t hurt him) and that he hasn’t caused actual harm to the city besides a few minor inconveniences. SY’s just lucky that the city needs his expertise and can’t afford to lose him when he’s so familiar with the dragons.

SQH is a bit of a mixed bag because he sometimes just leaves the area of SY’s jurisdiction. When he’s in SY’s area though he’s not a major issue, if anything he seems to just bully the lower dragons in some sort of weird stress relief. (He’s bullying as a result of MBJ bullying him wwwwww)

NYY, a cloud dragon, (crossbreed of a wind dragon and a water dragon) is actually the least troublesome, all she does is follow SJ around and occasionally take a dip in hotel pools with LMY, a water dragon/serpent just like her brother. The only issue is when SHL comes to SY’s area to play with the two. SHL is a troublemaker through and through.

In another city XF also has dragons (as well and another thing) he has to deal with.

“You can always assume one thing about your clients; and that is that they are doing their best. Always assume everyone is doing their best. And if they’re having a day where their best just isn’t that great, or their best doesn’t look like your best, you have to be okay with that.”

Grace is living on a planet of toddler sized rocks with twice his strength. If at ANY point he forgets to look where he’s going he is Going Trip Over An Ambassador. Unstoppable force vs. immovable object except Grace is very much stoppable.

Eridians either get used to talking to his shins, craning on their tippy toes to get a good look at his face, or begin forcing him to sit criss-cross applesauce for literally any important meeting. Picture him joining the Erid equivalent of a UN press conference and having to curl up his awkward water body and hug his knees for the whole thing.

He can conceivably be picked up by an alien the size of a hard helmet against his will. He’s surrounded by space roombas with perfect memories and attention spans shorter than his San Francisco classroom who can’t believe he’s incapable of solving complex math in three seconds. He has step stools around his house for them to climb so he can feel like he’s “looking them in the eye” even though Eridians think that’s stupid since they lack both eyes and directional perception.
