Kinda off topic from everything I’ve posted, like, ever, but yes, a black and white picture of tree bark is art if someone drew it. That round rock over there on that plate is art. That little handmade figurine is art. It’s art even if you personally don’t like it. It’s art and even if you don’t think it’s grand enough to be. Drawings are art. Paintings are art. Music is art. Yes, even the unprofessionally written songs. Storytelling is art. Storybooks are art, even the children’s books, even if you or I think some don’t deserve being art. Poetry is art. Comics are art. Just because someone wrote it, or drew it, or painted or made or whatevered it and someone else, maybe the same person or maybe not, fucking said so, it’s art. Now can I please stop hearing this argument every time I go to a gallery
