i do think that with the name & the branding n how it would help to explain random weirdness, huntr/x leans hard into the Branding of being "demon hunters". so the music videos are a toss up between being deeply personal (see golden) versus weirdass demon hunting stuff n they shoot a lot of their videos in the forest where rumi runs in golden & the stunt people are like. its the weirdest coolest job ever. we explained this bow & arrow stunt to rumi once & she nodded, picked up the bow & shot the target from 70ft. & they have ZERO fear jumping off things like zoey flung herself off a ledge onto the crash pads & giggled the whole time. the insurance guys cant come to set ever tehy get so sweaty & nervous & they have to sit down & crunch numbers to calm down
they also obviously do a lot of city scenes for their demon hunting & im just imagining them decked out in "armour" like their golden era pauldrons n stuff & pausing for a break & theres a small crowd of fans watching from behind these balustrades to keep them back while they're filming in a gross alley & workaholic rumi always wanders over when theyre on a break or doing a reset & greets people & she's always sooo nice & signs a lot of stuff & is so apologetic when they only have a few minutes or so to talk between takes. but there are fans who come back when its a multiday shoot & rumi remembers their names once she sees them a second time & once she remembered their name at a fan signing like Months later & the fan fully burst into tears theyre like YOU REMEMBER ME? & rumis like OH NO IM SO SORRY PLEASE DONT CRY OF COURSE I REMEMBER YOU, YOU BROUGHT ME THAT FIGURINE YOU MADE RIGHT?? n the fanis like. sniffling theyre like YEAH i designed n 3d printed it, it has your braid! & rumis like I LOVED IT!! its on my shelf at home, see? & quickly finds a photo of it on her shelf & the fan starts crying again
rumi loves her stunt double she thinks she's the coolest person in the world & they're almost dopplegangers shes like . oh im sorry to make this depressing but when she looks at her double shes like. if only i could be like her (free, beautiful, brave). n her double is maybe a few years older than her & she loves to go shopping w rumi shes always like you would look hot in this. i know because i look hot in this. & rumis Always like ah. i cannot. but then her patterns get revealed & she calls her double up & shes like UNNIE CAN WE GO SHOPPING NOW & her stuntie is like YES FINALLY YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
ok they have this big push before one of their video releases where theyāre like we had so much fun making this video & a huge shout out to our stunt doubles who are AMAZINGGGG & they do a series of little behidn the scenes videos of huntr/x versus stunties games like silly ones like three legged races & exercise ones like who can do the most push ups in 30 seconds & then they get REALLY competitive about keep the balloon off the floor & mira watches rumi & zoey get way too into it & sheās like. for the good of the honmoon & our secrets I must end this. & pops the balloon. rumi screams before she knows what sheās doing sheās like YOU KILLED HER. zoey starts crying. mira looks at the camera person like. they were going to break bones soon. I did what I had to do. nod if you understand. & the camera shakily ānodsā up & down
the fans figure out exactly where the keep the balloon off the floor competition happened & build a shrine for the balloon š & when rumi & zoey find out they sneak away to visit it & leave flowers at the shrine & take photos in front of it & caption it w like. we will never forget you & the joy you brought to our lives. revenge will be swift š¢ šŖ š šŖ & thatās the day the prank war begins. rip mira
in the wake of the IDOLs I think zoey starts another prank war because a) it helps squash any rumours that huntrx is breaking up & b) it helps take Rumi from sulking in her bedroom n being like blegh im scary im a demon and a monster blegh and turns her into oh ill fucking end your life right here and now zoey you put GLITTER in my CONDITIONER? I have SEVEN MILES OF GLITTER HAIR NOW YOURE DEAD
& most of the prank war is captured on like. Zoeys extremely blurry go pros (one dedicated YouTuber is like. if I did the maths right, sheās running 60km per hourā¦) as she shrieks n rumi catapults herself over the railing to bounce off the couch cushions & tackle her to the ground
& then thereās another contingent I think the fans divide themselves into like. oh they gotta have some kinda warrior name for it like. queens guard for rumi, death dancers (?) for Mira, turtle tanks for zoey.
anyway the fans follow all three of them but they make a game of like not ācross contaminatingā the prank streams like they wonāt give spoilers to zoey on stuff Rumi or Mira have planned or set up on their streams. but itās just a lot of silly whimsy n also all the fans are like š they really love each other bc Mira is like musing on pranks n sheās like obviously the point of a prank is that the other person likes it & chat is like. Um! What about when u hunted zoey through the park the other night. & miras like. Beatific smile. Great question! She loved that. but yeah miras like ok the pranks canāt involve anything that Zoey would be sad if it got ruined which honestly means bedrooms are out of the question, the studio as well, and NO WAY any of her notebooks take collateral damage. ok yknow what would really make her laugh?
