Part of socializing and having friends is being a good listener even when you don't actually give a shit about the subject.

Your are hurting other people's feelings when you bluntly respond with "Anyway..." and then change the topic.

It can not always be about your preferred topic.

I was on Lefttube/Breadtube a lot during my days as a baby leftist and learned a lot but I've also had to unlearn a lot since. Remember that many of these people are Just Some Guy, just as much as your average right-wing grifter, and just because their brand of politics *seems* more ethical doesn't always make it actually effective or good or even in the realm of reality.
