Reblogging this because I just discovered in one of my classes the existence of IBNI, or intragastric botulinum neurotoxin injection, which is apparently a procedure in which people get botox injected into their stomach and intestines to paralyze them and reduce hunger signals, causing weight loss. I discovered this because we discussed it in context of a March 2023 botulism outbreak across 5 different European countries, resulting from incorrect botox injection, where the botulinum neurotoxin was injected into patients' bloodstreams instead of the stomach muscles.
People be out here giving themselves botulism to not be fat.
