Hm idk entirely how this all plays down in this AU (if I can call it that?) in terms on if the factions are still in war with each other and all that jazz? So like hm maybe Stormsurge stays with Tailgate most of the time and then they go meet with Cyclonus whenever it's possible?

Not so sure how the Autobots would feel about them, like oh look Tailgate's sparkling is a flight frame? Which usually is a war-frame thing? Oh they're kind of large, huh? Hang on Tailgate where is the sire? What do you mean you are the sire? Fine then where's the carrier then??? Who is the carrier???

Stormsurge isn't really doing anything bad or getting in trouble at base, they just Look Like That and it spurs discussions.

It makes Tailgate upset, and he considers running away with Stormsurge. He talks about it with Cyclonus who suggests they find/make their own little hideout together some place.

Stormsurge doesn't end up becoming a Decepticon warrior with Team Chaar like Cyclonus intended, as Cyclonus seeing them and bonding with them ends up waffling on his own original thought.
