Ryukishi07 was kinda real for having Battler discover the truth of Beatrice's game and the first thing he does is get angry and debunk a bad faith interpretation of a female character which demonizes her and takes away any nuance.

the bernkastel - erika - battler situation makes me sick to my stomach (positive) because i am literally always thinking about how bernkastel abuses erika and tells her she's doing it as punishment for erika losing to battler. and erika has literally no recourse against bernkastel. and so erika channels every negative emotion she has about the situation towards the ideas of hurting battler and destroying beatrice
