I love how you used colours here. Most of your Transformers art are full of bold written text, sharp and strong borders, and vibriant colour choices.

This one is just so full of grief... No anger. No violance other than the obvious. Optimus isn't even using any kind of fire power. He is just devastated. Tired. Tired of this meaningless war taking people away.

Bumble flashback... his vibriant colour already starting to wear off and with it Optimus' too. Star and Op are both sharing the same red but while Star's screaming with his presence, Op on the other hand stagnant, in shadows, colour dimming. No one wants to be seen while grieving.

He is not pointing a gun on Star's face but his hands still shake. Clenched in fist. I don't see any energon on it. Maybe it was Op who hurt Star in this but I don't think so. I think Star got beaten up by whoever and Op found him, trying to make a decision on what to do with him.

Instead of any action he could take he turns to reason. Tries to make sense. "Why" Simple.

It is simple. Just like this war. Just like Stars. Just like the blood on the enemy and tears in his eyes.

Star looks at him. Is it regret on his face? Or pity? Is he confused on what or who Op means? He did a lot. Is it all of them. Is it one. Is it that one?

We don't know. Star apperaintly doesn't know. Nor does Optimus.

To him this war is already a lost cause. His very light is gone and with him he is taking everything with him.

Shockwave is smiling. HE IS SMILING!!! HE. IS. SMILING. Relieved. Grateful. Bro...

And we can't even see Optimus' face. To me it feels like because we are looking at this comic from Shockwave's pov. To him, Optimus is this hulking figure, leader of a faction, a godlike figure, violent. Has to be. He is everything that Orion was lacking.

To him, Optimus looks nothing like Orion. He is there. He is Orion, in a way, but not really. Not anymore. Just like how he isn't the same bot either. They are both changed in a way that was out of their control. Turned into different people because of power outside of them.

And Optimus might be Orion, but he is not, not really. He does not shine like him. You can't look at him and see him. Optimus is untouchable.

Orion was. Orion did. They knew each other. Even after all the pain, there is something here. No one is privy to it. No one knows it. It doesn't matter anymore, but to them, it always mattered.

Optimus raised the gun. Shockwave can't see his face, couldn't for a really long time, but he knows the colours. He knows the baritone. He knows him. He rests. Puts his head on the barrel. Still can't see. But he doesn't need to see him to know he is there.

"Thank you."

Shockwave isn't lost either. Some part of him is still there. He might have lost so many things about him to people, war, to time but the part that held Orion dear is still there. And he is thankful.

He can be thankful for many things. For finally stopping him. For finnaly having a chance to just rest. Or it could be that he is thankful because, after all this time, it is Orion who puts him out. Safety of the knowledge, maybe.

We can't see anything on Optimu's face. Shockwave can no longer read him. He doesn't know who this is. Orion is still there, but not really. He changed too. Because of people, war and time. He is no longer readable.

Maybe he doesn't even try.

But it does not matter; in the end, he is finally stopped by a person who knew him before. Before he was this.

It's okay now. Orion, as changed as he is, is here to help him.

One last time.

I definitely think that smile is from Optimus' pov, btw. Maybe an old memory got triggered, or he can never forget how SW used to smile; no matter the reason, that smile was seen by him right before pulling the trigger.

I wonder if it hurt Optimus to kill Shockwave using Meg's canon. In a way, hurting him with the bot who used him for the entirety of the war.

THE START! He seems like he is physically moving the borders of the comic. This bigger than life, even reality, figure. He is moving in, monologing, existing in a way that screams power. With the information we are getting as the watchers he is in the middle of an Autobot camp but he does not care. He is loud and violently existing.

Then we realize. He is loud in an Autobot camp.

No one is comming?

Then Prime's existence starts haunting the conversation. But it isn't really a conversation. It can't be, as we slowly realize the fucked-upness of the situtation.

"Truce, peace, war will start again" we donT2 know the details. We don't even need them. It doesn't even matter which side is actually winning. The most important part is:

Megatron is losing it because Optimus is dead.

We are coming back to colours now <3

At the beginning we are seeing Optimus as his usual colours. But not his face. Not his distinctive eyes, which shine as bright as suns. It's just shadowed. And as Megs keeps talking he is losing more and more of his vibrant colour, until we realize;

Megatron is spiraling.

He is trying to, in his own way, always destructive always violent, get Optimus back. But he can't. And he can not accept that. He is still in bargaining stage. Trying to "bait" him to act. Move. War is coming, don't you see? You have to move and stop me. C'mon make my delusions real.

And it gets to fullsclae grey. Even the light from the fusion canon seems dead. It's obvious that that wasn't even Oppy so I want to focus on Megs.

He is full scale grey. Not his first appearance with shining armour and blazing eyes. He is full grey, just like the dead soldier. He lost his reason to keep going. He is dead inside, trying to light a spark. Trying to not only bring Optimus but also himself.

His eyes being Orange is also still insane to me. WHAT DO YOU MEAN. It can mean anything. He could have even started to come out of his own hate induced mania just because Oppy died. Or he is slowly losing his own self the more he interacts with these hallucinatons.

Optimus is dead, his paints starts to seem more like the dead instead of death, he is losing his focus so much his eyes are not crimson Red anymore.

And he is no longer big.

From his first enterence of the secreen to the ending, he lost his place too. He is no longer big or strong. He is small and confused and he is looking for an opponent that he will never get to fight again.

Megatron has no individually without Optimus. He is no one withouth a war.

Maybe the war ended. Maybe the truce is strong. Maybe it will be forever peacefull for the rest of the cybertonians but for Megatron he will continue to fight with a ghost who haunts the same battlefields that holds his once alive beating spark. Megs will be continue to move like a wraith, looking for a prime that no longer exist.
