I literally can not emphasize enough how much of a textbook case of intersectionality transmisogyny is. The basic idea of intersectionality can be summed up as follows:

Some businesses would not hire black women, but because they would hire black men and white women, it was not considered discrimination on the basis of race or gender. Therefore, it is insufficient to simply combat racism and misogyny, but rather we must specifically combat misogynoir, the unique oppression that black women experience specifically.

If we replace businesses which wouldn't hire black women with a government passing laws which specifically target trans women, you obtain an analogous statement about transmisogyny. It is phenomenally easy to apply intersectionality to the oppression of trans women. Therefore, if someone claiming to be familiar with intersectionality denies the existence of transmisogyny, they must be speaking in bad faith. Such a belief can only come from willful ignorance or malice.

this is a perfect example of why the autistic trait commonly described as a ‘strong sense of justice’ should be instead described as strong or even inflexible moral convictions. because autistic people can be wrong. we are people, and sometimes people are wrong about stuff, including morality and justice. autistic people hold strong to our personal beliefs, but does that mean we all have strong moral compasses and a sense of justice?? i don’t really think so. in actual reality, it just means it’s often hard to change our minds about morality, and nearly impossible to convince us to act against whatever we personally think is morally correct, not that we are actually correct about morality (which is subjective, or at best situational, anyway)

I have a lot to say on this tbh but more than anything I want to say that as a Black doll who’s been active on a lot of social media sites, theres a lot of transfemmes of color, especially Black transfemmes, who got banned or deactivated or just stopped logging onto a site before I could get other contact info for them, who I now just sit here wondering if they’re still alive or not. I’ve tried looking for some of them on other platforms and rarely do I find them.

Dare I say the thing I love most about Human Domestication Guide as a setting, beyond the magical anti-anxiety and HRT drugs, or even the Affini's unending love for humans, is the fact that it's non-consensual.

As someone with a flavor of mental illness that simultaneously makes me desperately need help, but also be absolutely terrified of it with all my heart, I would still suffer in a world where the Affini followed human conventions of consent. I would do what I've always done and hide my problems, pretend everything is fine, or frustrate medical workers until they deem me treatment resistant and give up (which has happened several times now).

In such a world, I'd refuse Class E's, only cautiously accept Class G's, and go on my merry way slowly tearing myself apart, with expectations of living to 30 at best, 25 at worst. Any time I'd be offered domestication, I'd refuse not because I don't want it, but because I'm pathologically inclined to refuse such a thing no matter what.

The fact that this isn't the case, that I'd be dragged kicking and screaming to receive help, and that help would actually fix me, is the #1 reason I enjoy the setting. The guarantee that, even if I run and hide because I can't help myself, someone will find me, and they're going to care for me until the end of time.
