it is interestesting how if you go back to earlier writings, people considered that communism getting more global credence after the great depression is because the great depression is just like some blip, some momentary failure in the system as if the reason isn't that the great depression literally comproved communism as the better alternative. really odd but I suppose it make sense that's how people would rationalize it
