In order to be accepted in to a shelter they make you through so many hoops but as far as ive been informed you must be literally living on the streets to be accepted as a homeless person for both temporary or permanent housing. You also must qualify in other assorted areas in order to even get in to a program but ill lost as much information as possible that ive documented over the past 2 years. Libraries and town halls in most cities are open to be warming shelters in the southern Wisconsin area
In Wisconsin, particularly the Milwaukee and Madison areas, where temps will be reaching as low as -55 degrees, ppl are being encouraged to call 211 where you will be directed to warming centers. Once you get the address for an open shelter, you can use Lyft, which is offering free rides up to 25 dollars with the code WIJAYDEN19.
