No doubt you have heard the name of Secretariat, even if you're not horse-crazy. But you probably haven't heard of Sham.

Sham and Secretariat were racing Thoroughbreds who had incredible careers that coincided in the 1970s. Both of these horses, after their deaths, were autopsied and were found to have the same deformity, something that gave them both a massive edge over their competition: their hearts were significantly larger than the average Thoroughbred.

It's been said that the greatest tragedy of Sham's career was simply that he existed at the same time as Secretariat. The odds that two Thoroughbreds with this same genetic condition would exist and compete alongside each other are *incredibly* slim, but to Sham's misfortune, he was overshadowed by Secretariat. In any other era Sham would have been a household name, remembered as a legend. And thus we reach the comparison.

Shawn is the Secretariat to Lassie's Sham.

Lassie is a good detective. He's the youngest Head Detective that the SBPD has ever had and is eventually promoted to Chief of Police. He's devoted to his work and the people he works with. He's worked insanely hard to get to where he is at the start of the series.

And along comes Shawn, a thorn in Lassie's side with an eidetic memory and a flare for the dramatic and the ability to convince almost everyone around him that he's a psychic. He swoops in and solves Lassie's cases under his nose, and Lassie knows he's a fraud and can't do anything about it because Shawn is insanely good at what he does, psychic or not.

Which leaves Lassie constantly in his shadow. Finding all of his work completely upended by the guy who waltzes in, flirts with his partner, talks a million miles a minute, calls him a nickname Lassie hates, and always comes out on top.

Like object all you want asshole the cameras should come down ASAP

Is there a way to look up how much a book is borrowed from a library in general? Because I’m willing to bet hers aren’t getting worn out from being on such a high borrow and return cycle but even if they were how is this something to be mad at?
