i really really love the scene near the end of supergirl where kara is comforting ruthye, because when ruthye says she wishes none of it ever happened kara doesn’t say anything like “but look at what it taught you! look where you are now! you’re so much stronger!”. she agrees, because they’re both tired and angry and things are just unfair. there isn’t a secret meaning behind every tragedy that makes it all worth it. they both know that they’ll be grieving for the rest of their lives, and it’s normal to be bitter about it.

Some, not all, critics are lying about Supergirl: Like making the thumbnail and stuff in their videos make out like Supergirl hates her cousin when she doesn’t in the movie at all! She respects and loves him.
