I bet Leandra would insist Hawke's friends stay the night when the weather was bad, and while Fenris or Aveline might protest, Leandra would just lay on the guilt and motherly concern until they agreed. There might be gangs and robbers out there, after all! Over time they each just claimed their own room in the Hawke estate, because it's not like anyone else was coming to visit and Leandra was much happier when the house was full of people for her to fuss over. They all still had their own homes, of course, but their rooms were always there when they needed them.

I bet when Leandra died, they took turns staying the night. After the Arishok fight, they all slept at the estate for a full two weeks until Hawke insisted they stop hovering.

when i saw this ask i had to stand up from my seat because i got so excited agshjsksks, this is a Bethany Hawke Propaganda Station and i have so much to say

the thing about bethany is that you have to look beyond the nice little sister trope she outwardly plays into. you want to know about bethany? she’s not sunshiney. sure, she’s bright and inquisitive and kind and maybe a little sheltered, but she’s also pessimistic and bitter and lonely and envious and she blames herself and her magic for every bit of suffering her family has had to undergo to keep her safe. her voice actress does such a good job of all her wistful heartbreaking act 1 dialogue. i also think a lot of people would be surprised about scenes where a red hawke can be in total agreement with her, for example when she suggests breaking into the amell estate to find the amells’ real will. they’re not polar opposites at all

bethany is the opposite of carver: she gets along with you from the start, and then the sibling conflict comes in later in the game. send her to the grey wardens, and she won’t forgive you for it! not for a long time, at least. bethany loves adventure and beauty and dreams of the noble’s life she might have had, and getting consigned to the ugly grey work of the wardens for the rest of her shortened, tainted life is a much higher price than she ever wanted to pay for her freedom. send her to the circle instead, and as hawke you have to watch the sister who you tried so very hard to protect act like she’s happier in that prison, like all your sacrifices meant nothing. and you also have to watch as the chantry’s teachings get to her and there’s nothing you can do. i don’t think bethany’s lacking in conflict at all, it just comes in at a different place in the story
