A friend told me I should be using bottled water to make my tea, since the tap water around here has a lot of chlorine in it and thatβll throw off the flavor of some of my more delicate teas.
I tried it. Boiled the water in a kettle, poured it into the cup to brew, and it all bounced right back out. Made a hell of a mess. My slippers are soaked.
Tried again, same thing. Mess all over the kitchen, hot water all over the counter and down my apron.
I called my friend to tell her about it and figure out what the hell was going on.
She said βthatβs weird. Iβve never had that problem. Are you using filtered water or spring water?β
