i donāt know if anyone is familiar with this niche bit of london lore i discovered on my last trip there but there are two bagel shops that are next to each other, one called beigel shop (yellow/on the left) and one called beigel bake (white/on the right), and they are basically identical and in fact apparently owned by rival family members, and there is no consensus on which one is better but everyone has strong opinions, as if they were bostonians arguing over mikeās pastries vs. modern pastry shop, but also everyone seems confused about which one they went to, they are just certain that tourists go to āthe other one.ā
butāhereās the important part, and iām sure you all saw this twist coming from a mile awayāthe bagels are ass, worse than montreal bagels, i forgot which one i got from, and i knew theyād be ass, i just needed to know how bad they were fucking up bagels over there. they are not bagels, they are basically bread rolls, and my friends wound up getting bagels from the opposite one i went to and had the same experience.
also, apparently the son of one of the heirs murdered his mom and sister in 2018. i only bring this up because if i didnāt, someone wouldāve brought it up in the notes.
unfortunately i realized i have to be at the Getting Rid Of Stuff part of organizing my room instead of the Moving Stuff Around part. i hate getting rid of stuff. it makes me feel like i made a mistake. no i am not going to read marie kondo.
