Hi! I'm Jo, and I make stuff: dice, art (I forgot how to art? but I'm learning again?), sewing, cosplay, props. I post these things when I think they're good enough for people to see, and I am trying to clear that bar more often. I'm also a SFF writer. I've never successfully written fanfic, but I do post about my original works here, typically when they are vexing me. I'm back in that mode where i use the digital version of Spirit Island to wake up my brain in the morning and i just end up leaving it running in the background basically at all times and the music is have an effect on me rn (this post also exists to recommend Spirit Island. it is a super complicated board game that can be played solo or co-op. you play the spirit(s) of an island that is currently being colonized. your job is to destroy the colonizers. every spirit has their own strategies and means of doing this, like some are more defensive and support the indigenous population against the invaders, others are more direct and violent, still others break the colonizers through fear. it's incredible, and the digital version does all the setup and rules management for you, which is just lovely even though i also adore the tactile feeling of the table version)
