The Black Sea undersea river is a current of particularly saline water flowing through the Bosphorus Strait and along the sea bed of the Black Sea.

Greta oto, commonly known as the Glasswinged Butterfly, lacks colored scales, making its wings transparent. It is found in Mexico, Panama, and Colombia.

People really do walk in circles when they get lost. This according to Jan Souman of the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Germany. He and his colleagues dropped people in an unfamiliar forest or desert, and tracked them via GPS. Souman says that if the sun or moon was out, the volunteers were able to walk straight ahead. But when it was cloudy, they walked in circles.

Crown jellyfishes are the six families of true jellyfish that belong to the order Coronatae. They are distinguished from other jellyfish by the presence of a deep groove running around the umbrella, giving them the crown shape from which they take their name. Many of the species in the order inhabit deep sea environments.

They have no mouths and don’t eat once emerged from their cocoons, instead relying on fat storage from their immature stages of life.
