HiPOD: The Remains of a Day

The objective of this observation is to determine the nature of a layered structure in a small, fresh impact crater. The layered mound seems to be above the rim in Context Camera image data. It might be some sort of ring mold crater. This image location is in western Utopia Planitia, in the Northern Hemisphere of Mars.
